FIRST AND FOREMOST: GET SKIN PREPPED

Dab over your cheeks, forehead and chin, then working from the centre of the face outwards, blend using circular movements. Use the side of the brush to smooth foundation onto the lower eyelids and nose area, then repeat with another pump, building coverage to your desired degree.

THE TECHNIQUE: MATTE FINISH

MEDIUM COVERAGE

Once you’ve dispensed a single pump into your Y Foundation Brush N°3, stick to the general rule of thumb — dot, then blend. Start at the T-zone, dotting the product on your forehead, nose and chin, then move out towards your cheeks, blending in circular motions. 

FULL COVERAGE 

Follow the same process and repeat, building additional layers until you hit your coverage high. Use gentle pressure for low-intervention around areas of particular concern. 

MATURE SKIN

The most common signs of mature skin, like dullness, dark spots and wrinkles, require a targeted approach. Start by dotting and dabbing foundation with a fingertip onto areas that need attention — under-eyes, cheeks, around the nose — and blend outwards before applying another layer, as above, with Y Foundation Brush N°3. This gives just enough coverage where it’s needed, without appearing cakey.
